Main Focus

In my first chapter of my doctoral investigations, I am interested in studying desert locusts and investigating how environmental geometry influences the development of their social phenotypes. My research involves continuous experimental setups that utilize sophisticated motion-capturing technologies, combined with neurological and molecular-level analysis, to address fundamental questions in this field at the Max Planck Institute for Animal Behavior, Konstanz, and the Centre for Advanced Study of Collective Behaviour (CASCB), Konstanz. Germany.

In my next chapter, I aim to investigate foraging and social behavior in mice under psilocybin administration using a freely moving apparatus with various behavioral tasks. This will allow us to explore how psilocybin influences social-behavioral motifs and reshapes group dynamics in mice at the Ernst Strüngmann Institute for Neuroscience, Frankfurt, Germany.
